I was just watching the movie Dante’s Peak and was reminded of the Wilhelm Scream.  Never mind why I was watching Dante’s Peak.  Anyway, it’s a sound effect that has been used in a ton of movies since the 1950s including all every Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie.  Here’s more info.  Play the sound.
