While @ Chicago Comics, I snagged the first two issues of  “Beasts of Burden” from Dark Horse Comics, and I gotta tell you, they rule.

Written by Evan Dorkin (of Milk and Cheese fame), it’s the story of talking dog and cat supernatural investigators, who solve other-wordly mysteries when their owners are not around. Seriously.This book is really, really, really cool. It’s creepy, and interesting, and funny. The second issue in particular is super haunting.

I had first heard about the book @ Dark Horse’s panel @ NY Comic Con, and I’ve been looking forward to the release since. This is another amazing release from a truly awesome publisher, and it will fit seamlessly in to their already uber-impressive catalog.
