Konami has confirmed that the classic Simpsons Aracde game will be released this week on home consoles. A few weeks back there were rumors that this would be released due to a new ESRB rating but nothing official came from that. Today though we know that The Simpsons Arcade will be released for Xbox 360 this Friday and on the PS3 February 7th.
This release will have the standard 4-player online and offline gameplay with unlimited token funds and will also offer a survival mode to test your skills on one token only. Along with the US release the game will also feature the Japanese version of the arcade game that included more power-ups for your character
This, along with X-Men and TMNT, was a game that got a majority of my tokens when I was a kid so it’ll be great to re-live this game and take on Mr. Burns one more time to save Maggie from his evil clutches. There is no official price point for this announced but I would assume between $10-$15.
