After quite sometime without DLC or any giant updates to Gran Turismo, Sony and Polyphony Digital will release free updates along with some paid DLC within a few weeks (no official date has been provided yet).
The biggest changes within the free updates is that all cars will now have the ability to drive in a detailed first person mode. The level of detail with the interior will depend on the vehicle but it is nice to see that this update will give all cars this view as it is one of the more popular view styles within the GT5 community.
The free update will also include updated 2011 NASCAR cars, faster loading times offline and online, adjustable AI for arcade racing, save points for longer races and weather adjustment for each track through a slider method.
Of course it won’t all be free as there will be a paid DLC bundle within the next few weeks that include new cars and tracks but that information has not been detailed yet by Sony and Polyphony. With the new edition of Forza coming out soon on the Xbox 360 it is a very smart move to get this released to avoid people leaving GT5 for a new experience.
