I’ve been eying this design ever since I first saw it in the promotional materials for Mark Nagata’s Kaiju Comrades show. There’s something about the color usage on this figure that is justreally exceptional. IT’s funny, because I can sincerely say that I’m not the hugest fan of Eric Scarecrow’s work (I think it’s fine, it’s just usually sort of “whatever” for me). But I feel that this piece really knocks it out of the park.
Here’s the crazy thing, though- When I first saw images of this guy, I assumed he was somewhere around a 6″ figure. I had no Idea that it was part of Scarecrow’s “Old School Kaiju” series, which is really quite large. And this guy is freaking huge! Check out the image of him next to an approx 10″ Magma Muraida:
So, this figure has to be well over 15″. Insane!
More pics after the jump.
This piece is an artist’s proof, so little is known yet about the production run of this big guy. Stay tuned for more details.
Props to the always awesome ToysREvil, from whom I “borrowed” most of the info and pics for this entry.
