Ever wondered what Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon would sound like on the NES?  Well, the people at MOON8 have reworked the entire album in an 8-bit Chiptune style. The sequencing of the entire project was done using Famitracker and the sound was rendered using the NSFplug. There were no expansion chips were used for the creation of this album, all of the sounds are within the limits of the standard North American NES.

For even more info and mp3 download, check out the official MOON8 here.

Thanks for the heads up, Joey!

There are some slightly annoying moments, but there are also some really “Fuck yeah!” sort of parts. I think Us and Them (part 5 on the youtubes) is particularly good.
