Details about this years Tiger Woods game have come out of this weeks game develops conference being held in San Fransisco. First EA has announced the biggest feature to this years game is the introduction of the Ryder Cup, a tournament where you will play along with a team of other golfers from your country of choosing (USA or Europe) to compete against the other. What is really cool about the inclusion of this is that you will be able to play the Ryder Cup online. Now a round of golf with your friends can be done indoors, no more of that pesky sunlight or outdoors to deal with.
Another interesting feature is a first person perspective that can be used throughout the whole round of golf if you choose. Taking advantage of the Wii motion plus controls, the first person perspective looks to recreate the most realistic game of golf possible. In this mode you will be able to miss the ball or even hit a duff shot as the game will detect the point of contact of the ball much more precisely then past years games.
Not only will these features be available on the Wii version, but EA has stated that Tiger Woods 11 will support Sonys upcoming motion controller as well. No word on if all the Wii features will transfer over to the PS3 version, but if they do it could create some competition for the Wii version this year for top seller.
Last years Tiger Woods was pretty close to perfect, so it will be very interesting to see what is improved going into this seasons game. Tiger Woods is set to be released on June 8th for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 .
