In the grand scheme of things, there’s probably not a single musical artist that I hold in higher regard than Ian Brown.  From his work with the Stone Roses to his decidedly amazing solo career, Brown has consistently moved me with work for close to 20 years.  Ian Brown might just be the coolest person in the world.  Seriously.

Stellify is Brown’s debut single from his upcoming album My Way, which is released in the UK on September 21st.  I’m loving Stellify and can’t stop listening to it (pretty cool video, too!).  The EP has some great b-sides as well, such as the awesome Marathon Man.

This is really cool. His albums have been a little inconsistent lately, but he always has a couple tracks that make them worth buying. Compared to most of those Madchester bands from the late 80s/early 90s, Ian Brown still sounds good and is putting out new material. When is John Squire’s new album being released?
