Zombieland. I can’t say how excited I am for this film. I have a weak spot for zombies, it’s true. But I also have an appreciation for (and get ready, because I’m about to coin a term – you heard it here first) “Zomedies”. From Fido to the classic Shaun of the Dead, it almost seems too obvious what hilarious creatures zombies can be and strange that it took so long to parody them (though elements of dark humor can be found in Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead). Well, here is the just released red-band trailer: all the curse words and awesome, gory special effects to persuade you to see it. Ruben Fleischer (Borat, Chuck & Buck, Dog Bites Man, The Jimmy Kimmel Show) directs, and Woody Harrelson stars. Bill Murray even plays a zombie in the film – what more can you ask for?!
And check out this awesome quote about Harrelson found on wikipedia.com:
“Shortly after finishing the filming of Zombieland, Woody Harrelson had an altercation with a TMZ photographer at New York City‘s La Guardia Airport. His defense was that he was still in character and thought the cameraman was a zombie.”
