Beatles Rock Band priced and dated.

March 5, 2009

Today MTV games, Harmonix and Apple Corps announced the official release date for The Beatles Rock Band and gave out its pricing points as well. The game will be released on all major consoles (PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii) on 9-9-09 (sounds like they are copying the Dreamcast launch date of 9-9-99 from a while back). The pricing for the game will be as follows: Individual game will be $59.99 for PS3 and 360 while $49.99 for the Wii. Of course this game will be bundled with instruments as well, $99.99 for the game and a guitar or $249.99 for the whole band set up which includes game, guitar, drums and microphone. The odd thing about this is that the full band bundle is $70 more than your standard Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero full band set, so not sure what is driving this price hike….I guess Yoko needs more money or something. Now I’m not really a big Beatles fan, so I don’t know how exciting all their songs would be to play on guitar as I don’t recall many hard or difficult guitar solos. But I guess I’m not their target audience.

Nice! I hope that you can play “I’m Henry VII, I Am”.

No track list yet, I also have no idea what that song is.

    3. ben Says:

It’s the Beatles’ 2nd best song, after Wonderwall.

Why do you have a picture of the Monkees?

    7. mike Says:

The picture of the Monkees is a analogy for how society views the Beatles. But really it was put up to see if anyone would notice and on top of that, The Monkees are far superior to The Beatles.
