Wolverine Origins Trailer

December 16, 2008

Below is the official trailer for X-men Origins: Wolverine. I’ll say, I’m impressed. I like what I see of Gambit so far and the possibility of the White Queen intrigues me as well. X-men Origins: Wolverine will be released May 1st 2009

It looks pretty good. The problem that I have with this is the same problem that I’ve had with the rest of the X-Men films, and that is the lack of costumes.
I understand that a Wolverine or Sabertooth can be done without much of a costume, but a Van Wilder in a red t-shirt does not a Deadpool make.

I believe we will see the disfiguring of Deadpool in the movie, thus leading to his costume.

Ah, yeah. I guess that makes sense. In any case, I’m really looking forward to it.

Have to agree 100% on the lack of costumes. The whole ‘black leather / dominatrix / goth teen’ attire in the X-Men flicks were a let down. For me the costume is the main reason for attaching yourself to a comic book hero. Could you imagine the Captain America movie without the blue suit? Might as well put Spiderman in an all leather jumpsuit while sporting a gimp mask.

This point also makes me cringe when checking out the promos for the GI Joe flick. The all black / football shoulder pad uniform for most of the characters are pretty lame. Though Snake Eyes looks pretty bad-ass.

As for the Wolverine flick, i’m really looking forward to it. His storyline in the X-Men flicks were by far the most interesting.

Word up on the GI Joe concerns. If I recall correctly, Cobra Commander and Destro are dudes in suits. Wic Wic Wack.
