New Rock Band 2 Full Album Downloads Announced

August 28, 2008

With Rock Band 2 coming out for the Xbox 360 next month (9/14) and in October (10/19) for all other systems (including the bundles for all systems), Entertainment Weekly has announced 6 full album downloads that will be available for the game in the upcoming months. The albums that will be available include Foo Fighters’ “The Colour and the Shape”, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”, Jane’s Addiction’s “Nothing’s Shocking”, Megadeth’s “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying”, Stevie Ray Vaughn’s “Texas Flood” and a special No Doubt best of collection created just for the game. The packs should retail for $14.99 (the same for Rock Band 1) and will probably be broken down to smaller track packs as well. I really like the idea of full album downloads and it is something that I miss out on by only having Guitar Hero. But with Metallica having their next full album available for GH3 soon, I’m hoping that Activision will continue this trend with Guitar Hero 4.

What an awesome selection of albums. I hope they have a Spin Doctors one on there, too.

lolol. ben, i came here to comment on how that artist line up was obviously pulled from your top 10 best bands ever list, but you beat me to it! just because the songs aren’t gay and in 4 part harmony is no reason to make fun of a band. it’s called “rock band” which is why your must isn’t on it – it doesn’t rock.

    3. ben Says:

True, my “must” is not on it.
