I’ve really warmed up to this one after a few listens.  Pretty badass video, too.

    Where are the tamborines?

i usually like things that take several tries to enjoy. oasis reminds me of anal sex - everyone says they like it but it really just stinks and you get poop on your junk.

Back in the 1995 everybody had to pick a side in the Battle of Britpop and I sided with Blur.

Thinking back on it Oasis had some great tunes but the best thing about them was their interviews. When I was in university my friends and I would search the British music magazines for Liam Gallagher quotes. Then we would try to shoehorn them into our conversations. We once got kicked out of a bar when my roommate called a bartender “cunty bollocks”. Good times.

Nice. I spent far too many years trying to emulate that guy, myself. But, he gave me his tambourine once. So, I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.

I’ll probably end up buying this damn album, just like I buy every other one. As usual, it will have 2-3 good songs, and the rest will be complete filler.

Ben- What about the time you went as Liam Gallagher for Halloween in Winona?

  8. ben

That wasn’t Halloween. I was just lying about my identity in an attempt to have sex.

That’s right. I guess the women down there would rather have sex with a semi-successful arrogant Northern English rock star than a foppish college student with a slight lisp from nowhere Illinois. The best you could hope for were several incriminating marks on your neck.

Anyway, it’s better than my plan to throw up on Howie’s couch and later be covered with coats and sat on like furniture.
