The Art of Robert Burden

August 13, 2008

Looking for absolutely massive paintings of your favorite action figures from your youth? Robert Burden is your man. In an attempt to recreate the sense of wonder that these 80′s artifacts gave us as kids, Burden paints images of them at a truly epic scale. This Battle Cat painting, for example, was done on a 48″x102″ canvas. Robert is scheduled to participate in this year’s I Am 8-Bit, which opens tomorrow in Hollywood. Check out Burden’s website here.

The foot soldier and Serpentor ones are boss.

Yeah, and it’s pretty cool that he’s selling smaller prints of them in his shop, too (at a fairly reasonably price- for art).

The flags on his website are pretty interesting too.
